BIRDS DESIGN is an atelier, a little and smart factory with a dinamic structure, ready to satisfy each claim and request; our work is about shapes research and new materials possibilities : there are a lot of resin kind, technological or natural fibers, several types of sandwich high resistance and low own weight panels, high performance concrete, led and low energy lights; looking at all these kind of opportunities BIRDS DESIGN creates objects above all with self-production philosophy, small limited edition series made with a high level handicraft cure and a great care to product security and distinction; we join contemporaneity and tradiction to create objects those are a fusion af art, nature, technology, handwork ability, originality and manufactrability without forgetting low energy drain, responsable production, smart material use, ricycle and re-use of everything our society judge ”PAST” and that we intent to transform in “FUTURE”.
“UNIQUE UNIQUE”, our first collection, came to life from research and desire to regenerate tradition and memory, creating new emotions; we joined resin, a new material, with old classic glass chandelier traditional metal adjustable body. we dismount, regenerate and reassemled them in a new form and dimension, to invent a new and unespected body; the resin dress replace the idea of glass with new feelings and color shadings.
UNIQUE COLLECTION arise from UNIQUE experience and from our will of creating a limited edition series of design objects and not only unique art pieces, objects with more serial processing for offering to our clients knowable and expectable pieces; we created two similar series of lightning objects, one with a classic chandelier with 6 or 9 lights point and one with a conteporary laser-cutted plexiglass cetral form in two different size. the objects have a central replicable body and an always unic part, each time different, the resin drape.
our research also lead us to FARFALLE, a resin light collection with recycled part from old chandelier. FARFALLE are smaller and more handy, either in ceiling or table version; the resin part is completely created and assembled in our atelier while the technical and metal parts are produced from sectorial specialized craftsmans; this give us the possibility to produce carefully designed, safe and energetically responsable design objects, always different and each time unique pieces, like nature could create a flower, a fruit or a butterfly.
